 Two different magnifications from one loupe. Placed together the two plano-convexe lenses can then be used as an aplanatic lens system. The magnifications are simply added together (i.e. 5x + 5x = 10x).

Part of the professional precision loupe series, fitted with an aplanatic lens-system (Ø 17 mm or Ø 23 mm), this magnifier fulfills the highest optical requirements. The lens is scratch-resistant and produces a very sharp- (to the edges) and an extremely high contrast image. For the fabrication Schweizer uses a UV absorbent optical crown as used with prescription lenses (refractive index n=1.52).
 
The black lens casing helps prevent reflections and the loupe-head is riveted to the casing to avoid it coming loose compared to with screws. A sturdy, robust all-rounder with unbeatable optics.
