World class Optics Made in Germany
Sits like a pen in your hand: A fantastic tool, very sturdy in a metal housing combined with unbeatable optics including an integrated scale. The scale has a length of 1 mm and division of 0.02 mm. (1/50 mm).
Features:
In this pocket microscope you can find three different magnifications (40x, 50x, 60x). By using the rotating ring, fine focusing is possible. The achromatic precision lens is scratch-resistant and creates a very high sharpness. Diopter compensation of up to +/- 4 dpt is possible. The sturdy metal housing completes the pocket microscope.
With the optional adapters (below), working with the pocket microscope becomes wobble-free! Highly recommended due to the high magnification. The Illumination Unit needs the Stand Adapter Unit - together with the pocket microscope they form one complete unit.
A handy Illumination Unit (Picture 2), Duo Scales (No Picture) and a Stand Unit (Picture 3) are available and can be chosen below.

Tech-Line is synonymous with technically sohpisticated products which meet the requirements for high-quality optics, ergonomic handling and sturdy materials which are suitable for daily use.
Discover the variety
By developing the Tech-Line Series, SCHWEIZER created an ultra-modern magnifier generation, which combines the following features.
The Tech-Line Series has been professionally adapted for the demanding requirements & conditions of any work environment.
Additional performance:
- High quality, aplanatic silicate glass optics. In the low magnification range, biconvex optics / bifocals are used.
- The silicate-glass optics used in Schweizers Tech-Line magnifiers are 100% manufactured in Germany. Not only do they contain the best optical features, they are also very scratch-resistant! (especially in comparison with plastic lenses).
- All magnifiers with a silver coating are coated with a special 2-component-coating:
Resistant to hand perspiration.
Resistant to nearly all solvents/chemicals.
Very hard and plane surface, scartch-resistant and easy to clean.
- Schweizer uses environmentally-friendly, energy-saving and extremely long-life high-performance LEDs (light colour approx. 6000 K).
Chromatic aberration is caused by a lens having a different refractive index for different wavelengths of light (lens dispersion), meaning that different colors focus at different distances from the lens. Longitudinal and lateral chromatic aberration of a lens can be seen as "fringes" of color around the image.
Chromatic aberration of a single lens causes different wavelengths of light to have differing focal lengths.

An achromatic doublet has the same focal length for red and blue light.

As can be seen above, chromatic aberration can be minimized by using an Achromatic Lens or Achromat, in which special optical materials with differing dispersion are assembled together to form a compound lens.
