A precision hand magnifier with a highly polished biconvex glass lens of exceptional quality. The silicate glass optics used are scratch- and solvent resistant making this magnifier all the more durable. In its fabrication of the lens, a UV absorbing optical crown is used, as with prescription glasses with a refractive index of n=1.52.

The protective soft-case in picture 4 is highly recommended and be added below.

Since 1840 magnifying readers from Schweizer We provide a guarantee of ten years from the date of purchase (as shown on receipt) for any defects attributable to material or manufacturer errors.

The guarantee does not cover power packs for illuminated magnifying glasses or parts subject to wear and tear (small lamps, batteries, etc.). Damage caused by incorrect use or due to impact is not covered by the guarantee.
