Many, particularly inexpensive watchmaker's loupes are available. However, when using a watchmaker's loupe you should ensure that it has high-quality optical lenses. Otherwise, your eyes will fatigue very quickly and headaches can result from continuous use.

Our PEAK watchmaker's loupes with 13 dioptres up to true 80 dioptres use superior lenses. A bi-convex lens is used for models with 13 to 26 dioptres. From model 2048-A40D onwards, a second removable bi-convex white glass (crown glass) lens is used. In this listing dioptres from 40D to 80D are available. Others can be found in the PEAK category.

Furthermore, versions from 48D to 80D have coated, achromatic white glass lenses. All housings feature a ventilation hole to prevent fogging. All housings are aluminium with a matt black enamel finish.

Since June 2010 all PEAK watchmaker's loupes include a holder and adjustable headband. This allows relaxed work without holding the loupe under the eyebrow. It can be moved to the forehead when not in use. The loupe can also be removed and used by hand.
